Terezín Songs are settings of English translations of Czech poems taken from the book I never saw another butterfly: Children’s Drawings and Poems from Terezín Concentration Camp 1942-1944. The book contains the following inscription: “A total of around 15,000 children under the age of 15 passed through Terezín. Of these, around 100 came back.”
The recordings below were made in October, 1990, by recording engineer Curt Wittig, featuring tenor Richard Turner and me at the piano.
